Luella's catered our wedding, and everyone raved about how delicious the food was! They provide full-service catering, which our venue required. Malynn was an excellent catering coordinator to work with. Their entire team was very personable. We appreciate them tremendously for providing such a memorable meal for our wedding guests! We love their brick and mortar restaurant as well, especially all the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic posters!

Called in to see if my corgi dog was welcome. Had seating in the patio which was perfect. Food was ready to go incredibly fast, staff was incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Food was amazing and didn't stick around long because we ate it in an instant.

Highly disappointed in the food! We ordered a pound of pulled pork, Brunswick stew and coleslaw to go. The coleslaw was just chopped cabbage, some vinegar and pepper. The Brunswick stew was a very liquidy tomato and a few chunks of potatoes soup, with a few beans and a little bit of meat. And the barbecue was okay in flavor but the two tiny little cups of bbq sauce were sweet sauce and when we asked for a little more bbq sauce, we later found that those two tiny cups were actually almost purely vinegar. And so at that point we mixed the sweet barbecue sauce with the vinegar to make the sauce go a little further. Not worth the money spent at all.

Luella’s came highly recommended as a stop on our way through Asheville and we are so glad we did stop. Food delicious. The okra and collards were some of the best we’ve ever had. The sauces for the ribs were vinegary with right amount of spice. Service superb. I come from 25 years in the food and beverage industry and the staff were all welcoming, warm and attentive. Atmosphere chill. It was laid back and after an 8 hour drive we didn’t feel underdressed. They even allowed dogs on the patio. The best part was Cheryl. What a warm, welcoming lovely lady. She brought out two banana pudding desserts for our table to share and we chatted it up with her. Thank you, Ms. Cheryl!

I really enjoyed my food! The service was great! They were very welcoming when we walked in. One guy noticed us looking for the menu and he directed us right to them. The hush puppies are delicious! They have several different sauces. I'm a sauce girl and I was excited to try them all. One of them was my favorite but I can't remember the name of it. The barbeque was seasoned very well and paired well with the bun and my cold ginger ale! The Brunswick stew could've used a little more seasoning but it was good. The brisket was my favorite! It was so tender and good! The prices are reasonable and the parking is good. Nice and peaceful inside. They checked on us multiple times! Thank you all for the great service! I highly recommend and I would return if I visit the city again!
